The Sheridan Homelands Neighbourhood was designed and constructed in the late 1960's. During this era of home construction, designers focused on designing attractive homes with wide frontages and numerous windows to allow for natural light to enter the home as well as give a home more character.

Garages were not the focal point of the homes designed during this time. In fact most homes you will see in the Homelands area will have the garage recessed into the home itself thereby allowing the house  to be the main focus.
